Serving high-potential middle and high school students in their pursuit of education beyond high school.

The purpose of the
Educational Talent Search Program (ETS), also known as Talent Search, is to provide college planning and preparation tools that guide low-income, potential first-generation college students as they transition from their current studies in middle school and high school to postsecondary education. The ETS program at JMU also helps students who do not fit the low-income and first-generation criteria but indicate academic need for services as well as individuals who have dropped out of high school and adults seeking to complete secondary and post-secondary education.

ETS staff work to guide and advise students on meeting college requirements to ensure their eligibility for the institution of their choice. Furthermore, participants receive the following services: career advising, academic advising, tutoring, workshops, financial aid and financial literacy information, college tours, and cultural enrichment activities.
