Target Audience: Individuals in the AACP certificate series and others wanting to learn about safety and risk management at JMU.

Course Description: What IS Risk Management, anyway? How are risks controlled with the campus safety program? What’s new with the Commonwealth’s insurance plan? At this workshop you will learn about Workplace Safety and Fire Safety, JMU’s Emergency Evacuation Plan and everything you ever wanted to know about Worker’s Compensation insurance. Topics like The WC process, How to assist those who need guidance where to go for information, filing a claim, etc. Also, Managed Care Innovations, our insurance company FirstScript, the WC insurance prescription plan and Emergency situations will be covered.
