Pre-requisites: TD1526:  Recognizing and Managing the 5 Modes of Conflict

Workshop Description: You understand your basic modes of conflict, now take those concepts one step further and learn about five negotiation styles.  This workshop will cover negotiation basics to better negotiate in personal and professional settings.   Through assessments, activities and practice, participants will build knowledge, skills and confidence in their negotiation abilities.

In this workshop participants will:

  • Discuss primary negotiation concerns
  • Learn the “golden rule” of negotiation
  • Learn when not to negotiate
  • Assess negotiation styles
  • Learn effective negotiation skills and behaviors
  • Practice using the three fundamental questions of negotiation
  • Practice preparing for negotiations
  • Practice negation skills
