Target Audience: Individuals interested in learning how to turn trust into an asset.

Workshop Description:  Who do you trust and who trusts you? The skill that separates managers from leaders is the ability to extend Smart Trust.  Leading at the Speed of Trust raises trust from an often-ignored asset or liability to a strategic economic driver. Doing business at the Speed of Trust dramatically lowers costs, speeds up results, and increases profits. The workshop is designed to instill the language and behaviors research shows to be common to high trust people throughout the world.  Leading at the Speed of Trust is based on the best-selling book The Speed of Trust by Stephen M. R. Covey, which draws on his years of hands-on experience and research into the trust factor in business and society. 

Participants will:

  • Understand why trust is a learnable and measurable leadership skill that makes organizations more profitable, people more promotable, and relationships more energizing.
  • Understand the hard, measurable impact of trust.
  • Quantify the real, measurable cost of the trust tax™ being paid within your organization, work group, or other relationships.
  • Master 13 behaviors common to high trust leaders around the world.
  • Learn and engage in a new language of keywords to communicate trust effectively.
  • Develop the critical leadership skill of learning to increase your propensity to extend trust.
  • Create a weekly Trust Action Plan to increase trust with all key stakeholders and relationships.

This Multi-Session workshop will include:

  • Session 1: The Case for Trust; Principles of SelfTrust & Improving SelfTrust
  • Session 2: Principles of Relationship Trust; Building Trust & Extending and Restoring Trust
  • Session 3: Principles of Organizational Trust; Organizational Credibility & Organizational Trust
  • Session 4: Principles of Market Trust; Building Market Trust & Principles of Societal Trust
