Workshop Description: PAR forms/student contracts, interview questions, employment law, reference checks, diversity, payroll...Does the recruitment and hiring process seem overwhelming to you? It can be, but we have created a 2-part training session to help you! Do you hire student employees? We'll cover it! Do you hire faculty? We'll cover it! Do you hire staff? We'll cover it! Session 1: Employment law; Diversity considerations; Recruiting and interviewing for faculty, classified, wage and student employees; Hiring an international employee; Onboard; and Hiring paperwork for faculty, classified, wage, student and GA positions.
Session 2: Parking for new employees; Orientation of faculty, classified and wage employees; Performance evaluations for faculty, staff and student employees; Employee leave; and Payroll deadlines and classifications.
