Workshop Description: Believe it or not, they’re coming. Generation I - the Internet Generation - Net Gen - the New Silent Generation - Generation Z. Exhibiting behavior far beyond their years, this group of “youngsters” have already been charged with solving the worst environmental, social and economic problems in history. As a result, they have the potential of being smarter, quicker and more successful than any generation before. With these advances comes a unique set of challenges – a generation who wants to work alone and won’t take “no” for answer. Join us as we plan for the next generation of JMU students – Generation Z.
In this workshop participants will:
- gain an understanding of the basic generational characteristics of Generations X, Y and Z.
- discuss the impact Generation Z may have on the university.
- brainstorm proactive approaches to preparing for Generation Z.
