Requirements

  • You will need to submit a separate request for each event. Please give at least 3 work days notice before your advertisement needs to be active.
  • All events must have JMU affiliation.
  • Digital signage must adhere to the guidelines listed below, and must not violate James Madison University's identity policies.

Eligibility

The Student Success Center is a facility housing 20 university functions and providing collaborative, high-impact environments to support student learning, student health, and student services. Departments and organizations housed in the Success Center can promote their activities, programs, and services. Advertising materials submitted to the Success Center should underscore the University's commitment to discussion and dialog for greater community involvement and student growth. Please note that your advertisements are a reflection of your department or organization.

The Student Success Center requires advertisers to accept direct accountability and responsibility of their content. The Student Success Center will not accept advertising materials that:

  • Have content that violates state or federal laws or James Madison University policies.
  • Promote non-University events or programs outside of the Student Success Center
  • Promote non-University businesses
  • Promote events held or sponsored by departments or organizations outside of the Student Success Center.
  • Have content that violates James Madison University identity guidelines as outlined at http://www.jmu.edu/identity.
  • Do not clearly state the name and contact information of the sponsoring organization. Although an event might have multiple sponsors, the name of the department or organization that reserves the space with SSC is considered the sponsor.
  • Do not meet basic construction standards set by the Student Success Center and James Madison University.

Technical Requirements

Advertisements must be designed and submitted by a department or organization member and meet all content requirements. They must also follow all guidelines that are discussed in the submission guidelines above. Please limit video length to no more than 10 seconds.
