I worked full time for 26 years as a newspaper reporter/photographer and editor of all stripes, culminating at the Los Angeles Times. I specialized in copy editing, working all desks from local to foreign, business to features and op-ed. Copy editors are the last line of defense against all story flaws. They also write the headlines and design pages.

From 2007 through 2014, I was faculty advisor to The Breeze, JMU's national-award-winning student newspaper/website.

I've independently produced nine award-winning documentaries, most of them aired by PBS affiliates, with disability as a frequent subject. See mikegrundmanndocumentaries.wordpress.com
