To request a replacement diploma, use the link below to provide information about the diploma. The available products are: paper replacement (any graduation year) or a CeDiploma prior to December 2017 (Certified Electronic Diploma for graduates, prior to December 2017). If you are a graduate prior to December 2017 who requires a paper and CeDiploma, you must purchase both products separately. Only Alumni may request a replacement diploma, verification of your identity may be required. Once the request is received, requestors will be notified via email if it has been approved or denied. If the request is approved, then we will place an order for that diploma. Please allow six to eight weeks for delivery if your request is approved. If the mailing address is international, then the process may take longer.

The replacement diploma will have the current signatures of the University (i.e., signature of president and rector).

Your replacement diploma will be created with your legal name (first, middle, last, suffix) on record at the time of graduation. If you would like to change the name listed on your diploma, please submit legal documentation of your current name (i.e. driver’s license, marriage certificate, etc.) to hansenda@jmu.edu
