Quidditch is a fun and exciting game that shares qualities with many of today's popular sports, including, but not limited to: rugby, dodgeball, soccer, and baseball. Despite being loosely based off the sport created in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, it is actually a very intense and physical sport.

Nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, the James Madison University Club Quidditch Team is on the come-up. Having been slept on in the past, this team proved they can play with the best of them after making it to the second day of the competition at their first US Quidditch Cup appearance in 2018. Armed with a fast high-octane play style, we’re looking to become a perennial fixture in the US Quidditch community.

JMU's Club Quidditch team is certified with United States Quidditch (the USQ) as part of the Mid-Atlantic region. As an official team, we have the opportunity to compete with teams to play in the annual national tournament, of which the 2017-18 team was invited to attend in Texas and advanced to Day 2. The team competes in three to four tournaments each semester in addition to the multiple matches played throughout the season. We compete against teams from Virginia and throughout the country.

Anyone is welcome to come out to play, but in order to play in matches and tournaments, one must pay dues which are determined before the start of each semester.

Practices are held on the UREC Upper Turf field:

Sunday: 1-3pm
Tuesday: 5-7pm
Friday: 4-6pm
