Our goals are to train for and compete in the Nation Collegiate Paintball Association tournament circuit while maintaining a spirit of honorable competition and fostering a sense of camaraderie among members of the club, both rookie and veteran. Furthermore, we aim to facilitate the betterment of each club member, both academically and physically.

The club has done exceptionally well over the past several years and our goal is to attend the NCPA National College paintball events in Tampa Bay, FL every season. The club offers a spirit of honorable competition and fostering a sense of camaraderie among members of the club, both rookie and veteran while generating a wide variety ofopportunity's that are fun, challenging, and gives a competitive edge against all other competition out there. Those interested are strongly encouraged and invited to practice with the team prior to try-outs.

Through gracious donations the team has acquired a personnel speed-ball field (50 inflatable bunkers) to help utilizepractices and host re-ball events to shoot on/in any feild or facility. This accomplishment has made it possible for us to practice in the indoor basketball gym at our university's recreation center (UREC) with Re-balls which we will hold fundrasing events and practices during each semester. 

Those wishing to become members of the Paintball team are required to attend a mandatory once a month on-field practice, at least 3 re-ball practices a semester, and a mandatory conditioning practice in the evenings during the week. Conditioning practices will begin after try-outs. Each semester, each player will be required to pay dues in the amount of $100. Dues are used to offset the cost of event entry fees. Additionally, each practice will cost each player approximately $35 to cover paint and air. Further, team jerseys are custom made and cost around $60. Finally, if you are picked for a traveling line you will have to pay for your own food and split cost of fuel and lodging unless provided by the teams house account. 

While the team is open to anyone who is interested in playing paintball with a sense of competition and seriousness, there are try-outs for the starting lines of teams of five that travel to and compete in NCPA series events. The clubshome field base and sponsor is PEVS Paintball Park in Aldie, VA. The team generally meets outside the bookstore (main campus) when instructed upon in accordance with the team agreeing on a set practice day and time.

We are looking forward to all new members and potential roster players and are grateful for the opportunity to teach and bring the sport of paintball to the JMU community.
