Men's Lacrosse

Men's Club Lacrosse aims to create a team environment in the lacrosse setting for the students of James Madison University. The team holds regular meetings in both the Fall and Spring, while being a social network and a sports program.

There are about 45-55 members.

Our conference is NCLL, in the Blue Ridge Conference. The Fall season is approximately 6-8 scrimmages with 2-3 tournaments. The Spring Season is more intense and has about 8-10 games with 3-4 tournaments.

There are tryouts in the Fall. Membership in this sport club is open to all JMU students and will not be restricted on the basis of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, national origin, race, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation or political affiliation. Students in good standing with the University (2.0 cumulative G.P.A.) are eligible for membership after attending or participating in a sport club event/meeting. As a member, one is required to attend sport club meetings regularly, pay dues if required, and actively support sport club projects. Membership will be revoked by ½ vote of officers plus ¾ vote from the general membership if actions are deemed inappropriate by the membership.

The dues are set on a per semester basis taking into account where we are traveling, how many tournaments we are going to or holding, and other things. Dues can amount to anywhere from $50 to $200 per semester.

In the Fall, we practice Monday through Wednesday during the night from 5:00pm.-7:00pm. We will practice either on UREC Turf or ISAT Turf fields.

Almost every year, we have made it into playoffs and lost close games to UVA who have gone on to win the national championship. In 2011, we made it to the NCLL Elite Eight, the Beltway Bash Semi Finals and were the 2010 Hill School Tournament Champions.
