The UREC Aquatics program offers informal recreation and educational programs for JMU students, faculty and staff, including private swim lessons, adult swim lessons, and children's swim lessons (ages 6 months through twelve years.)
Safety certification courses (American Red Cross and American Heart Association) at UREC are designed to help you prepare for emergencies. Registration takes place at the UREC Program Registration Desk. Once registered, arrive 10-15 minutes early for your course. If you arrive later than the scheduled start time, you will not be permitted entry into the class and will not be eligible to receive a refund.
UREC Aquatics and Safety programs are available for current JMU students, faculty, staff members, and affiliates only. Have a group that needs certification? Please contact Matt Lovesky about setting up special certification sessions.
