Applying to the MPA Program
What are the admissions requirements?
Students interested in the MPA must apply through the online Graduate School application process and pay an application fee. When selecting the program of study, the MPA program has more than one option. Individuals applying for the Roanoke program select Public Administration-Roanoke. Individuals who are applying to the Harrisonburg program select Public Administration.
MPA applicants are required to submit:
- Official transcripts from all previous colleges
- Current GRE or GMAT scores (less than 5 years old)
- Professional statement
What are the application deadlines?
The MPA program has a rolling admissions process. Generally, we need to have your completed application at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the semester in which you intend to enroll. To be considered for assistantships, students must have a completed application on file by April 1st.
The Roanoke program is currently accepting applications for the next cohort that begins summer 2015.
