Poster Session Details:

Visual example of a Poster Session

What does it entail?

  • The Poster Session is meant to help you showcase your leadership accomplishments, special programs, unique ideas and activities that you are involved with. It combines text and graphics to make a visually pleasing presentation. It will take place in a large room. As viewers walk by, your poster should quickly and efficiently present general information and invite viewers to ask more detailed questions of the presenters.
  • A successful poster is not created overnight. Preparing a well-organized, visually-pleasing poster requires you to plan well in advance. First, consider your audience and what type of poster you'll create. Next, gather your supplies and decide what information to include. From this point, create the text and graphics.
  • The posters that you bring over, will be displayed on long and narrow tables.
