Consider a President's Council Level Gift
A gift at the President's Council level is any annual donation at $1,000 or more (or $200 for alumni from the class of 2003 or later). Employees, alumni, and friends of the university are all eligible for membership in the President's Council. Members are an elite group of donors who empower Madison with the resources it needs to support students, explore bold new ideas, and tackle the world's largest problems.
JMU employees are an especially important segment of the President's Council. Your intimate knowledge of the university contributes a unique perspective and valuable opinions this core group of Dr. Rose's supporters. Read more about the President's Council.
We understand that not everyone can afford to make a donation at the President's Council level. However, if you have the means and are dedicated to the mission of James Madison University, you have an opportunity to directly help a JMU student or faculty member.
Your donation of $1,000 can:
- fund a one-time student scholarship award,
- allow a professor to travel to present research at a major national meeting,
- fund 10 domestic trip scholarships for students participating in the nationally recognized Alternative Spring Break program, or
- provide support where the need is the greatest.
Designating Your Gift
Like all Employee Giving Campaign donations, your President's Council level gift can be designated to the program of your choice or the the Madison Fund, which grants dollars to the programs where need is the greatest in any given year.
