Description of the Major
Integrated Science and Technology (ISAT) Title learn about a broad range of scientific, technological, and social concepts and master concrete skills that will make them leaders in solving the real human problems that confront our world. Students start with a common foundations curriculum and then progress into more specialized technical areas of their choice during the junior and senior years. Studies in ISAT combine multiple scientific areas into one hands-on, integrated program in which students learn by working directly with technology and applying it to solve real-world problems.
ISAT graduates are successful in a broad range of professions and graduate schools. The program is both technical and flexible allowing students to customize a course sequence in preparation for a diverse array of technology-related careers.

Declaring the Major
New Freshmen and Transfer Students
Declare the integrated science and technology major when you register for orientation.
Currently Enrolled Major Changers
Complete a "Change or Declaration of Major" form and schedule an appointment to meet with the ISAT coordinator for students in ISAT 121 to get your Change of Major form signed and find out what classes to take.
Progressing in the Major
All students take the same sequence of classes for the first two foundation years and then choose courses from three of the six concentrations in their junior year. Seniors choose a course sequence and senior project to fulfill requirements for one or more concentrations. Students must earn a grade of "C-" or better in GISAT 151, GISAT 251 and ISAT 152 for the course to be used as a prerequisite for other ISAT foundation classes.
