Description of the Major
The hospitality management major is designed to develop hospitality management leaders through sound theoretical coursework, innovative learning activities, mentoring opportunities, exposure to premier hospitality organizations and interactions with dynamic industry professionals. Major requirements are met through small classes, team learning experiences, and meaningful personal contacts with faculty and industry professionals. In the major, you will complete a supervisory internship prior to graduation.

Declaring the Major
New Freshmen and Transfer Students
Declare the hospitality management major when you register for orientation.
Currently Enrolled Major Changers
Submit a "Change or Declaration of Major" form to the School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management in Godwin Hall, room 355.
Progressing in the Major
Remain in good academic standing with at least a cumulative GPA of 2.00.
