KnowBe4 Coming for Security Awareness Training

Information Technology is excited to announce the upcoming launch of KnowBe4 as JMU’s new security awareness training platform. Previously, all JMU employees were required to complete security awareness training every 90 days as part of the password change process; however, with the move to Okta, employees will now only be required to complete security awareness training once per year, and it will not be tied to password changes.

In addition, KnowBe4 will be used to provide specialized compliance training to university employees that access, manage, and/or control regulated data sets (e.g., HIPAA, GLBA, etc.) or that have privileged access to systems that contain protected and highly confidential data.
