Five SADAH professors featured in exhibition at the University of Mary Washington

"Collective Efforts" exhibition at the University of Mary Washington's Ridderhof Martin Gallery features works from SADAH faculty

The Ridderhof Martin Gallery at the University of Mary Washington opened the exhibition "Collective Efforts" on January 26, 2023. The show features recent works of five JMU School of Art, Design and Art History professors:


Mark Rooker, professor of metals and jewelry
Greg Stewart, professor of sculpture
R. Mertens, professor of fibers
Sukjin Choi, professor of ceramics
Dymph de Wild, professor of foundations

The show highlights SADAH's three-dimensional Studio Art Faculty, each with several works in the show. Their work utilizes several media and various materials, ranging from clay to iron pipes to electric motors.

The "Collective Efforts" exhibition is on view until March 12 at the University of Mary Washington's Ridderhof Martin Gallery, 1301 College Avenue, Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22401. The gallery is open Wednesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Parking: In addition to the upper level of the UMW parking deck, visitors can park on the university side of College Avenue and in the parking lot across from duPont Hall, which has two reserved spots for gallery visitors.
