Target Audience: Individuals interested learning about different forms of social media and how social media is used.
Workshop Description: Social media is changing the way we communicate and connect. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Ning, LinkedIn, Blogspot, Digg, Shelfari and Wiki's. What are these and how will they help you to be more "plugged in"? Join us as we explore the social media phenomenon.
In this workshop participants will:
- learn about different types of social media.
- explore how people use social media for personal, professional and academic purposes.
- learn about potential dangers and pitfalls of social media.
