Note: This session is capped at 21 participants.

Session Description: This presentation is derived from a qualitative study conducted by Dr. Sobel and Dr. Sawin.  The study asked participants what nurses and other healthcare providers should know about Hispanic cultural expectations when caring for Hispanic patients and families.  The presentation will offer recommendations for care resulting from the study data analysis. Additionally, the presenters will encourage discussion about conference participant experiences with Hispanic patient care delivery and suggestions for delivery of culturally competent care based on those experiences.
