Workshop Description: This session is a follow-up to a Faculty Interest Group meeting at the 2012 JMU May Symposium. Titled “Creating an Inclusive Environment for a Diverse Faculty,” the Faculty Interest Group heard about personal experiences from several faculty members and discussed ways to make JMU more welcoming and inclusive for a diverse faculty and staff. This session intends to continue the conversation. Expanding the focus to staff as well as faculty, the session includes a brief presentation of the main findings of the May 2012 meeting and invites participants to identify ways in which JMU can respond to the challenges that have been identified.
