10 Ways to More Effectively Use Your Time

1.

Get a pocket appointment calendar and USE IT.

2.

Make a weekly schedule which allows for homework and study time appropriate for each class.

3.

Take a "time management" workshop at the Counseling and Student Development Center. Call ext. 6552 to register.

4.

Go to class, and read ahead of time.

5.

Review your last week's notes 15 minutes ahead of class. Review today's notes for 15 minutes after class. You'll remember more and it will make more sense to you.

6.

Sell your TV. (At least decide what shows you want to watch, then turn it off instead of channel surfing bad movies all night!)

7.

Keep your phone conversations with friends under 4 hours, unless it's really important.

8.

Study more effectively by calling the Counseling and Student Development Center at ext. 6552. They have lots of workshops to help you out.

9.

USE YOUR RESOURCES! Library, tutors, friends, computers, and especially professors office hours!

10.

Get up an hour or two earlier in the morning. (Of course, you may have to go to bed an hour or two earlier!)
