The President of James Madison University
Jonathan R. Alger
President Alger is a nationally recognized scholar and speaker on higher education policy. On July 1, 2012, Alger became president of James Madison University, the sixth since the university’s founding in 1908. Since then, President Alger has led the university on its continued ascent as a leader in higher education.
