Fall 2023 Sorority Recruitment Registration is open! Sorority Registration will close August 26th at 11:59pm. Dates and other information are within Registration.

Please contact fsl@jmu.edu with any follow-up questions!

The Panhellenic Council is excited that you are interested in participating in sorority recruitment! While being a member of a sorority is an amazing experience, it is important to note that is it not the only extracurricular experience available to students at JMU. Sororities make up a small portion of JMU’s over 350 student clubs and organizations. To determine if joining a sorority is right for you, please watch this short film from Phired Up Productions and visit The Sorority Life to learn more about what being a member of a sorority means.

Sorority recruitment at James Madison University can take different forms. The first and most common form is formal recruitment, which is a fully structured process that happens during the fall. During this process, interested women have the opportunity to meet each of the chapters participating in formal recruitment. For more information about formal recruitment, please click here.

After the conclusion of the formal recruitment process, those chapters who still have openings within the maximum allowable chapter size can host their own individual informal recruitment events, often referred to as continuous open bidding (COB). For more information about continuous open bidding, please click here.
