The Transfer Experience Staff

The best part of the Transfer Experience is the student staff we hire to assist you in your transition to JMU. We really believe we hire the best of the best, and even better is that all of our student staff have transferred to JMU!

We have ANTS!

Our ANTS, or Assisting New Transfer Student peers, staff our Transfer Summer Springboard and Transfer 1787 August Orientation programs that welcome new transfer students to JMU. The ANTS are the main contact and resource for new students. They will assist you throughout the summer and into your first semester at JMU.

We have MTAs!

Our MTAs, or Madison Transfer Assistants, staff Madison Transfer throughout the year. Just because summer orientation programs end and the school year begins doesn't mean you won't have more questions. We know that you will and that's where the MTAs come in. If you have questions about changing your major, getting involved on campus, meal plans…you name it, they can help. So when you have a question, or if you just need a place to hang out in between classes, drop by Madison Transfer.

If you're interested in becoming an ANT or MTA, check out our "Work for the Transfer Experience" page. Working for the Transfer Experience is a great way to help future transfer students, get involved on campus, and even earn a little extra lunch money!
