Academic success is only part of your JMU
experience. Developing a social network and involvement in student
organizations will compliment your academic experience. JMU has
more than 300 student organizations for you to get involved. We're
not suggesting that you get involved in every one of them; that
would be overwhelming! But, we strongly encourage you to pick a few
based on your current interests, or an interest you would like to
explore.

Student
Employment
One thing is for sure, if you're a college student
you have a tuition bill to pay. If you need a little financial
assistance with those bills, or just want a little extra lunch
money consider getting a job. The Student Employment
Office posts on- and off-campus job opportunities.
Interested in sharing your transfer experience with
prospective and incoming transfer students? Consider working for
the JMU Transfer Experience! We offer several positions throughout
the year and with varying levels of time commitment. Since students
in these positions work directly with prospective and incoming
transfer students, we only hire current JMU students that have
transferred into the university. Click here to learn more how you can
work for the Transfer
Experience.
