You've probably already heard it a million times,
but it doesn't hurt to hear it again...Congratulations on your
acceptance to JMU! We congratulate you again because being admitted
to JMU is no small feat. The admission process is very competitive
and JMU selected you! Be proud of your current academic successes
as you get ready to embrace the JMU learning experience.
Acceptance to JMU is only the first step to your
successful transition. There's a lot more you need to do and
consider, so this part of the website is designed to help you get
started now!
In your admission packet you should have received
several pieces of information.
- Your admission
letter contains important information! Read it thoroughly and
follow the instructions. They are there for a reason.
- Your deposit
invoice is enclosed. Your invoice indicates the day by which you
need to have your enrollment deposit postmarked. Paying your
deposit is your way of telling us that you intend to enroll at JMU
for the semester you have been admitted. If you do not pay your
deposit by the deadline indicated on your invoice, your admissions
offer will expire.
- Your Transfer
One Book…no it's not another marketing brochure! Open the
book and visit the corresponding website to learn how to accept
your admissions offer, register for summer orientation,
and enroll for your first semester courses. There are important
dates and deadlines throughout the Transfer One Book, and even more
information on the companion website.
-
Your Health Record Form
needs to be completed by your physician and returned to the
university by the specified deadline. How do you know the deadline?
Read your Transfer One Book!
Check out the links on the navigation bar to the
left under "Admitted/Incoming Transfers". You may find the
additional information helpful to you as you begin your transition
to JMU.
