Justice Studies and Honors

In order to graduate with honors in Justice Studies, students must successfully complete a Senior Honors Project, an honors thesis.  This is a three-semester project begun in the second semester of junior year.  Students must apply to the department head to write an honors thesis and meet both the JMU and department requirements.  Writing an honors thesis is a major time commitment and is not for everyone.  You should talk with Justice Studies faculty and your academic advisor about whether it makes sense for you before applying.

Justice Studies would like to recognize students who have completed Honors Projects; see the list of students, advisors, and titles here

For more information about honors and Justice Studies please contact the department office and the Honors Program.
