IVS Opening Events - February 1st, 11-2 in Roop Hall, Room 208

The Institute for Visual Studies will be hosting its opening events on February 1st from 11 am to 2 pm in Roop Hall, room 208. An exhibition in Nexus, the IVS gallery space, will showcase innovative work by students and faculty in data visualization and the arts. In addition to projects from the institute’s first three studio seminars, selected works from the Arts Across Campus program, a curatorial collaborative with the mission of collecting and exhibiting the best visual work created at JMU, will also be on display. Visitors can learn more about the institute’s goals and see the newly acquired 3D printer, which transforms computer files into three-dimensional objects, in the laboratory/studio. The exhibition runs until March 9th. IVS is open daily, Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm.
