Honors Faculty Liaisons
Honors College Faculty Liaisons serve as a key communication point to the Honors College, as a resource for all upper-division Honors College students in their department, and as a resource for fellow departmental faculty interested in working with Honors College students.
- Liaisons are asked to serve as a resource for departmental faculty with questions about the JMU Honors College.
- Liaisons are asked to support current Honors students in their programs and to help facilitate arrangements with independent studies and Honors option courses within their department.
- Liaisons are asked to assist students in their department with maneuvering through the Senior Thesis or Honors Capstone process.
- Liaisons are asked to serve as a resource for recommendations of names of faculty who might be available to work on an Honors student’s committee and may even make project topic suggestions.
- Liaisons are also asked to encourage outstanding students in their programs who are not current members of the JMU Honors College to consider joining as a Track II or III student.
