Education and Clinical Training:

Molly received her bachelor of science in physical education and athletic training from State University of New York at Cortland in 1998. She received her master of science in physician assistant studies from Kings College, Wilkes-Barre in 2005. She has clinical training in Sports Medicine, Dermatology, Family Practice, Otolaryngology including facial plastic surgery, and Urgent Care.

Certifications:

Certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

Basic Life Support and Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association

Previously Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainer Association

Professional Experience:

After completing her education Molly moved to Harrisonburg and started her career working for Valley Health in Urgent Care Medicine for 5 years, then gained experience in ENT and Dermatology in Harrisonburg for 2 years. She spent 3 years in Family Practice at Sentara RMH before joining the UHC staff in 2015.

What she enjoys most about working in college health:

“I enjoy working with the college students because they are at the point of their lives where they take interest in their health. A focus of mine is on patient education as a goal to focus on wellness and prevention and the students seem to be proactive in their approach with this.”
