Diversity Enhancement Award Program - Call for nominations

THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT is pleased to announce the annual Diversity Enhancement Awards Program. The purpose of these awards is to recognize individuals and units that have demonstrated a significant commitment to enhance diversity at James Madison University.

Who is eligible?

Nominees must be a part of the Madison community — academic or staff units (or a group within a unit), campus organizations, students, alumni, faculty or staff.  One of the most important aspects of a DEAP nominee is that enhancing diversity is not their primary job function at the university.

How do I nominate someone for a DEAP award?

To nominate someone for this award, complete the nomination form HERE.   Submit nomination form and any supporting material to the address listed below.

How are the Nominees Selected?

All applications will be reviewed by the Diversity Enhancement Awards Committee made up of faculty, staff and students. The award recipients will be honored by President Alger during the annual Diversity Conference held on Monday, March 18, 2013. 

 

 ***The deadline for receiving nominations is 5 p.m. on February 15, 2013.
