Elizabeth Rolen joined CISR as a Frasure-Kruzel-Drew Memorial fellow at the U.S. Department of State in Summer 2022. She graduated from JMU with a Masters in Political Science, European Union Policy Studies in 2022. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from JMU in 2021, where she specialized in Middle East and North Africa Studies with minors in Arabic Language and Economics. Her academic interests include post-conflict recovery, humanitarian mine action, and democratic backsliding. Elizabeth is currently working on the East Asia and Pacific portfolio during second year of her fellowship.
