Application Process

To apply for a scholarship through the Bluestone Scholarship Program, you will need to have some information ready prior to filling out the application:

• A complete high school resume:
  • awards, honors, or recognitions
  • in/out of school activity list (i.e. leadership, community service, etc.)
• a completed JMU online freshman application
• Two letters of recommendation
• Two 500-word essays will be required. You can view the essay questions here.

Once you begin filling out the application you will not be able to save your work in progress.  If you would like to, you can use the Microsoft Word version, however, as you complete the form, the formating may change. Please have your materials collected and ready prior to beginning the application.
