JMU Family Weekend at UREC 2021

Welcome to JMU, student families! Family members are welcome to tour UREC or University Park during all regular operational hours.
Looking to participate at UREC? Make sure to plan to come during UREC’s Family Hours (Friday 6 - 10 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 10 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.). Please be sure to bring a photo ID, and students must accompany family members. Learn more about family hours. Want to participate outside of Family Hours? Make sure to read UREC's guest policies.
Family Open Climbing will take place 2 - 6 p.m at UREC on Saturday, October 9, in the UREC Adventure Center. No registration necessary. We will cover all you need to know for your first climb on the freestanding climbing tower and expansive bouldering wall. Please be sure to bring a photo ID, and students must accompany family members.
Family Weekend Adventure Trips are sold out at this time. Already signed up? Make sure to check your confirmation email for directions on where and when to meet as some trips will leave from UREC while others will leave from UPARK. Questions about adventure trips can be directed to UREC's Assistant Director for Adventure & TEAM Programs.
Finally, don’t forget to pack your mask before your visit! Review UREC’s current mask policies so you know what to expect within the facility.
