JOIN US FOR SPRING ALUMNI DAY

WHEN: Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10:30am-noon, 1:15-2:45pm, & 3:00-4:30pm

WHERE: Miller Hall, rooms 2109, 2160, & 2180

Alumni day is a great opportunity to meet JMU graduates employed in various career fields. This spring's panelists have work experience in federal agencies (such as Homeland Security and the Department of State), the U.S. Congress, the intelligence community (including the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Director of National Intelligence, and government contractors), nonprofit issue advocacy groups, state agencies in Virginia (such as the Department of Agriculture), local government, and the private sector.

There will be three panel topics, each occuring three times throughout the day for you so that you can attend any or all of the panels without the need to preregister. These panels will help you to learn more about how to secure a job in these sectors.  The panels offered are:

  • Federal Government & Advocacy
    • Miller Hall 2109
  • The Intelligence Community
    • Miller Hall 2160
  • State & Local Government
    • Miller Hall 2180

Each panel will be offered at 10:30am-noon, 1:15-2:45pm, and 3:00-4:30pm.

If you are interested in learning about career opportunities, in building job-seeking skills, and in making connections, please attend!

These panels are co-sponsored by the JMU Department of Political Science and the department's Alumni Board.
