Tucker Johnson to attend UVA Law School
NewsRecent JMU graduate Tucker Johnson has been accepted to Law School at the University of Virginia and plans to begin his studies there in August. Johnson graduated from James Madison University in May of 2025 with an honors bachelor’s degree, majoring in English and minoring in Philosophy. Johnson said that his undergraduate studies in philosophy helped to prepare him for law school by sharpening his critical thinking skills, which are crucial for success on the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) and for life in general. Johnson commented, “critical and often introspective thought is necessary for any prospective law student to flourish. Every Philosophy class I took at James Madison, from Ancient Greek Philosophy to Philosophy of Law, improved my critical thinking and helped me feel ready to begin my legal education at UVA Law later this year.” Congratulations, Tucker!
