Michele Williams
SPCE welcomes Michele Williams as the Program Support Assistant for non-credit programs. Michele joins SPCE with prior experience in the private sector and the Federal Government, boasting more than 15 years experience in Management Leadership and within a Customer Service Center environment. As a Sr. Manager in IT, Michele’s team was responsible for implementing and testing code for the various systems we supported. Michele enjoyed professional coaching and the development of her staff.
A native of Harrisonburg, Michele moved to Maryland just outside of Washington DC shortly after graduating from Harrisonburg High School. She and her family moved back to this area in 2020 and love being back in the Valley. Michele has two wonderful children, Ashley and Philip, who have blessed her with 5 grandchildren. In her leisure time, Michele enjoys spending time doing activities with the grandchildren, swimming, volunteering, and loves watching various sports, i.e. football and basketball. Michele and her husband, Donald, love to go fishing and enjoy being outdoors.
Michele has also been out and about representing SPCE at a variety of local events. If you see Michele on campus or within the community, please stop and say hello!

Jerilyn Monts
SPCE welcomed Jerilyn Monts as the Fiscal Support Coordinator. Jerilyn joined SPCE from Safe Trip Transportation, where she served as the Operations Manager of a small medical transportation provider, independently managing a full spectrum of business operations. Additionally, Jerilyn built a career in business consulting where she specialized in process documentation, data organization, change management, budgeting, social marketing, and more.
In her role within SPCE, Jerilyn will manage our reporting, reconciliation, hiring actions, program budgets, and record keeping on a daily basis. She is already co-leading our school’s efforts to migrate data and workflow to cloud platforms while also helping draft more comprehensive process documentation for the administrative staff. Jerilyn hit the ground running, proving herself a talented self-starter whose diverse experience will no doubt be a massive boon to SPCE and all its partners.
Join us in welcoming Jerilyn to the team!

Musu Kawusu-Kebbay
Not a new face to SPCE, but Musu Kawusu-Kebbay began her new role in supporting coordinator of academic partnerships, collaborating colleges and academic units across campus, including communications, marketing, data analysis, and program logistics and administration. Previously, Musts served in a role in SPCE supporting both Youth Programs and the Lifelong Learning Institute. We are so excited to have Musu’s skills and strengths in relationship building to help SPCE continue to grow in this area!
With an educational background in Biology and Healthcare Management, Musu’s career has spanned from data analysis, to supply chain mapping, all the way to maternal and child health and youth capacity development. As she harnesses various developmental and interpersonal skills, Musu looks forward to new challenges and learning opportunities in her new coordinator role. However, don't be surprised if you hear she's launching something in the fashion and design industry in 10 years. She has recently described her professional experience as "a social experiment studying 'How adaptable is Musu?'", however if asked today she would say the study is actually looking at how interests and skills will propel her further!

Bryan Brittle
SPCE welcomes Bryan Brittle as the Distance Learner Engagement Coordinator, specifically supporting students in the Adult Degree Program (ADP). In his role, Bryan will play a vital role in supporting the success of ADP students, most of which are remote learners, by serving as the pivotal connector with university resources, facilitator of orientation sessions, and through providing ongoing communication and engagement opportunities for learners. Bryan is a team member in the Dean of Student’s Office as well. This connection with the division of Student Affairs will ensure that ADP students are integrated within the University community.
Prior to arriving at JMU this fall semester, Bryan has over 15 years of experience in higher education, having worked in student services and information technology. He has held roles in academic advising, career coaching, user accessibility testing, and business analysis. Having held positions at Southside Virginia Community College, Southern New Hampshire University, and Advanced Technology Institute, Bryan’s passion is working with adult learners and helping them better themselves through education. He holds a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor’s in English Literature from Virginia Wesleyan University.
