2018-19 BTC Calendar: G.J. and Heather Hart
Being the ChangeG.J. and Heather Hart have, well, big hearts. In 2015, the couple contributed a $3 million-plus gift to name the Hart School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management. In January 2018, G.J. took the helm as CEO of Torchy’s Tacos after holding chief executive positions at California Pizza Kitchen and Texas Roadhouse. While at CPK and Texas Roadhouse, the Harts not only created a culture of philanthropy, but they worked with JMU hospitality students to expose them to hands-on learning and service activities at annual conferences. “My hope for the School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management," G.J. says, "is that it becomes a world-class program, a program where we turn out students who are going to do great things in the world and do it with purpose.”
