2018-19 BTC Calendar: Eric and Lara Parker Major

Thanks to Eric and Lara Major, JMU’s impact has spread all the way to Ghana. There, the couple works with the Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine, a hospital that helps cure sub-Saharan African children of scoliosis. The foundation’s accomplishments are in part due to the spinal implant devices created and donated by Eric’s company, K2M, he started in his garage in 2004 and which now employs hundreds. Lara is an entrepreneur in her own right, with an education consulting business that specializes in early literacy development. Both Eric and Lara continue their JMU connections by working as active alumni leaders, serving on boards across campus, mentoring students and supporting the university financially.
