Webinar Description:

Often, people get stuck in the assessment loop of measure, tweak the assessment process, and measure again.

However, students seldom benefit from the process.

In our experience, the biggest obstacle to learning improvement is not a lack of data, although that can certainly be a factor. More often, it’s a lack of coordination and commitment among faculty and student affairs educators to change the learning environment. We may have plenty of assessment data, but without a shared commitment to improvement, that data rarely supports meaningful change.

In this webinar, we’ll explore the concept of the collective will to improve, and we’ll share a few suggestions for how to cultivate it. When there is a collective will to improve, assessment can become a powerful tool for supporting meaningful learning improvement.

Facilitator: Professor Keston Fulcher is a co-author of Improving Student Learning at Scale: A How-To-Guide for Higher Education and is a founding member of the Learning Improvement Community.

Will the Webinar Be Recorded? Yes, we will share a recording of the webinar with all registrants.
