James Madison University students will have a chance to celebrate the halfway point of the fall semester and get energized for what’s ahead during the annual Halftime on the Quad celebration Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The Quad
The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Quad and will feature remarks from JMU President Jim Schmidt, Vice President for Student Affairs Tim Miller and student leaders Jessica Abadji, student body president; Gram Sher, student representative to the Board of Visitors; and Brady Dun, chair of student government legislative affairs.
Halftime on the Quad gives students an opportunity to connect with friends and classmates while celebrating the JMU community as they begin the second half of the semester.
The evening will include performances by the Marching Royal Dukes Spirit Team, the JMU cheerleading team and student musical and dance groups. Duke Dog will also make an appearance.
Students can enjoy refreshments from Scotty’s Italian Ice and Strite’s Donuts while taking part in the celebration.
