JMU to recognize May 2025 graduates

James Madison University is pleased to celebrate May 2025 graduates.  

Commencement ceremonies will be held Thursday, May 15; Friday, May 16; and Saturday, May 17 in the Atlantic Union Bank Center.   

The university will confer 4,084 undergraduate degrees and 491 graduate degrees.    

The top three most popular undergraduate degrees were health sciences, sport and recreation management, and psychology. The top three graduate majors were education (master’s of education), accounting (Master of Science) and education (Master of Arts in Teaching).  

The commencement ceremonies are ticketed events. The full commencement schedule, and links to live streams of the ceremonies, can be found on the university website on the JMU Commencement Homepage.  

Members of the local community should also be mindful of the increase in traffic in and around campus during commencement ceremonies. JMU appreciates the community's support and patience during this time.
