James Madison University to host "Gathering of Hope"

Harrisonburg, Virginia - James Madison University will host a “Gathering of Hope” this week.

Given recent challenges so many have experienced, members of the campus community, local alumni and community members are invited to write and share messages of hope by incorporating a JMU tradition, purple and gold streamers. Participants will be invited to write their message of hope on the streamers and display them while the Marching Royal Duke’s perform an inspirational selection.

In addition to the visual messages, this will be a time for the community to gather and connect with one another. 

The event will be held on Friday, Feb. 11 at 3:30 p.m. at the top of the Quad. Parking will be available in the Warsaw Parking Deck, near the Forbes Center. There will also be light refreshments provided by JMU Dining Services.
