Campus Safety Update

As you may be aware, a shooting incident took place earlier today on the campus of Bridgewater College, which is a few miles from James Madison University. An individual has been taken into custody. There are no known active or immediate threats to JMU’s campus. We encourage students to always be vigilant.

JMU Police will continue to be highly visible on campus and the surrounding areas as a precautionary measure.
