Fostering the Future: Bryan Bostic
Being the ChangeBryan Bostic (’83) is dedicated to supporting aspiring entrepreneurs through collaboration and mentoring. With over 30 years of experience as a business leader and entrepreneur, he is the co-founder and interim executive director of Startup Virginia, a nonprofit business incubator in Richmond, Virginia.

After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in management information systems from James Madison University, Bostic started 2B Technology, a software consulting company that was purchased by Ticketmaster in 2000. He went on to establish a variety of companies, including the angel investment fund Spanish Moss Holdings LLC and Smartbox, a portable storage company.
Bostic believes in investing in others, and is currently involved with more than 20 companies. A powerful orator, Bostic is responsible for influencing Virginia’s next generation of business founders. The College of Business graduate returned to campus during the 2016-17 academic year as an Entrepreneur in Residence with the Center for Entrepreneurship.
