JMU Bus Finder now available as a mobile app

Bus Finder, a web-based app developed in 2012 by the JMU IT department to help the JMU community efficiently navigate campus and Harrisonburg using city transit buses, is now available on mobile devices.

After typing in the web address and arriving at the site users are prompted to choose the mobile app. To figure out the best route to take, choose from a list of pick up and drop off locations, enter the time and day and Bus Finder will list up to 25 choices.

The app includes an option to use a Google map of all the bus stops in Harrisonburg. Or, just let the app do the all the work; click the “detect closest stops” button and the app will use your current location to find the most convenient stops in the area.
