Talent Development

Location: Wine-Price Building

Description: Have you ever said “yes” when you really wanted to say “no,” stayed quiet when you had something important to say, or explained yourself into exhaustion just to be understood? If yes, then this session was made for you.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to express yourself clearly and respectfully, even when you feel nervous. You’ll practice using a simple 3-part framework to say what you need, set gentle boundaries, and hold your ground, without sounding confrontational or apologetic.

Through real-life language tools, low-pressure partner practice, and confidence-building body awareness, you’ll walk away ready to use your voice with more clarity and care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to speak up using a clear 3-part framework
  • Replace soft, apologetic language with calm, confident phrasing
  • Recognize how posture, breath, and tone affect how messages are received
  • Practice expressing needs or boundaries in real-world workplace situations
